Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium
This compelling workshop created by the Pachamama Alliance will be experienced on Day 1 of the
BE THE TRANSFORMATION Retreat
The Symposium at a Glance
The objective of the workshop is to come to understand the assumptions that underlie the way we see the world and our place in it.
We look at how collectively we are living in a dream, sleepwalking in a trance. We consider how/why unthinkable acts appear reasonable, sensible, and even intelligent in our modern world. We also reflect on the words of the indigenous Achuar people of Ecuador, still living in harmony with Nature, who urge us to "change the dream of the North", for our sake and the sake of all living beings on Earth.
The symposium explores the links between three of humanity's most critical concerns: environmental sustainability, social justice and spiritual fullfillment, considering that our root crisis is a crisis of consciousness.
Through sharing information, discussion and reflection, we look at what each of us can do, individually and collectively, to move the world in a new direction.
The symposium allows participants to gain new insight into the nature of our time, and to understand the opportunity we all have to shape and impact the direction of our world with our everyday thinking, choices adn actions.
